FEATURED ARTIST
JOHN BARAN
My mother was a professional artist, and I spent my childhood surrounded by and nurtured by creativity. Originally only painting abstracts, I began to become obsessed with photography, in particular, wildlife photography.
My abstract style helped me transition into creating whimsical and unique wildlife art. I have spent countless hours on land and in the sea sharing space with everything from sea turtles to tiger sharks to manatees to lions, herds of elephants and more. I observe these animals in their natural environments, photographing and sketching them as inspiration for my work.
